Annual precipitation is about 12-inches, with the wettest month typically being August.

The Taos real estate market is much different than the real estate market in a large metropolitan area. There are issues with wells, with septic systems, with lot splits, with easements, and more. Whereas in a large metropolitan area, you typically only have to deal with a house with a well defined street address sitting on a well defined lot that is hooked up to city water and to city sewer.
