Oh the lengths we will go to make someone happy

Yesterday was a long day. The snow is gone, and the rains and the flood replaced them, but at least I can get around and show homes. I have to admit though I just needed to relax and so I decided to just go in and take a hot bath.

It was 8pm and I was tired. I don't get tired at 8! But, I was and as I sat there on the couch my 4 year old asked if she could do my hair and I just didn't have the energy or the heart to say no. (The picture is below.) Leslie Stewart saved me for a short time with a phone call about a referral I sent her, but my daughter didn't forget and back to the couch I went.

Todd Clark getting hair done by daughter

After she was about done with my hair she asked if she could get her hair cut. You see my daughter is now 4 ½ years old and has never had a hair cut, not because we weren't willing to do it, but just because she looks fine and she never really wanted one until today.

So, this morning we took off to find a place to get her haircut and I promised her we would take pictures. So, here are the pictures of daddy's new hair do and also daughters' new hair do.

Tascha before first haircut

Tascha after her haircut

I have to say my daughter is pretty cute after her first haircut

For the record, I prefer her new hair style compared to mine.

Todd, looks like she is going to be a great stylista!  She is such a cutie!  Although I would rethink the hair accessories in the future.  I used to set my grandma's hair in pin curls.  She is gone now, just short of her 99 birthday several years ago.  But its one of my favorite memories.

You are such a good sport!  Leslie

Look at that smile on your daugther's face!  Looks like she enjoyed every minute of her haircut.  You're such a good sport letting her practice on you.  It's something about girls - I used to enjoy my daughter "doing" my hair, but then I'm not male.

Todd, Treasure these moments, our kids grow up way too fast. I never had enough hair to have my daughter do my hair. Thanks for the memories...

She is cute Todd, but you are adorable. Make sure you wear the bow when we go fishing. Treasure these times with your young children, they are gone way too soon.

Kathy - Oh, she has done it before, but I was just tired that night and wasn't really ready for it or the camera coming out!

Renae - I didn't mind the new look, it was the picture proof that the wife got that bothered me. (LOL)

Cindy - I do enjoy her and her sense of humor, usually at dad's expense.

Bryant - For someone who dresses up in a Bertha outfit from time to time, you have a lot of room to talk about looks!

Jason or Amber - I do cherish the time with all my kids and really don't want them to grow up.

Cute!  This brought back memories of my older daughters doing the same thing to their dad....maybe at 16 & 17 years of age I can talk them into doing it again, just one last time?

Leslie - I wasn't about to let anything near my head that could hurt me - lol

Heather - Oh, I enjoyed it. It was my wife that I wasn't enjoying at the time!

Kathy - Maybe I'll wear it to ReBar

Bob or Carolin - I seem to be getting that from a lot of people, why is that? I think I'm just happy to have hair.

What a cutie...she's adorable.  What a special time for both of you and a great time for you to unwind with your daughter.  These are the memories you'll treasure.  Good luck to you with the weather.  We're finally getting some sunshine and no snow for awhile in Pullman...yeah!

Paul - ROFL, that is too funny!

Amy - Do what we have to do, to make our kids happy.

Barbara - I'll make sure I tell her that, but I think she already knows.

Steve - Since I advertise I'm about family, I see no reason not to talk about it in my posts. So many people don't like that I do talk about family, but I think real estate is more about people than I do about houses.

Tom - ?

Fred - I don't want to scare the fish away, I think I will wear my fishing cap.

Joddie - Oh, I bet dad would just love it when a 16 year old does this to them.

Fran - I promise if she figures it out, you will be the first one we call.

Carol - Thanks, got to keep her happy if I want to remain happy.
