Keep trying, keep trying, keep trying

Real Estate Broker/Owner with Respect Realty LLC 200311024

Why do I say this? Well, I have been in a slump lately with blog ideas because I was stuck in the house because of snow for two weeks and I needed something to come out. I then thought about Benjamin Franklin as I watched a special about him and his life.

You see he had many ideas, but not all of them worked and even a lot of the ones that did, we never saw. Why was this? Well, in a nutshell, a lot of these were good ideas, but they just didn't have any practical use in the real world. Same goes for some of his ideas that did sell at the time, today they are obsolete.

However, even if one idea didn't work, he tried something else until it did work or something else came to mind that worked. I tried this and I have to say it works! I kept trying and trying and trying until I had my blog juices flowing again.

You see, I took my walk with my mom and dad as usual, and I realized at the times we weren't talking, like driving, my mind started to wander. So upon returning to the car, I stayed behind and took another little walk... and BAM, I had more blog ideas. Including the one I wrote last night about the walking trails of Beaverton, Oregon.

So, I guess keep trying and you will eventually find something that works! This applies to everything in life, nothing is impossible, unless you believe it is!

Todd- So the saying we learned as kids, is right - If at first you don't succeed, try try again.  Glad that your blogging juices are flowing again.

Todd, my blogs are generally about the things that I encounter in my daily life as a realtor. It's like I was putting my thoughts and experiences on to a journal. Except this time, that journal is an online blog.

Seems like the blogs that are most active are those that pose thought-provoking questions on unusual situations. And oh yes..the political blogs seem to also draw a lot of attention. One question begets another!

Morning Todd,

I don't post as much as I once did, but I read and comment daily. Sometimes the brain needs a little break. Not to worry when that happens, enjoy and hit the road harder when the urge returns.

Good morning Todd,

I agree with Hal above. Maybe take a break? Or, continue to write your feelings about the block. The dam could break!! I'm routing for ya!

You're just coming out of the Holiday slump.  I was so depressed Monday (and I love my company).  I had such a great time with my family over the holidays, that it was hard to get the juices going again.  I'm going though now.  SNAP OUT OF IT!

There's an old saying that I can't quite remember exactly how it goes, but it is something like this.  You are not a failure until you stop trying, or as long as you are trying, you are not failing.  Anyway, I think you get the point.
