Saturday Smiles:A Feast For The Eyes @Santa Barbara Farmers Market!

An abundance of colorful vegetables, fruit, flowers and exotic mushrooms were a feast for the eyes.  We enjoyed the combination of strawberies, rainbow chard and sunflowers.

These are golden oyster mushrooms.  We bought the white version, they are bigger and stranger looking.  They are wonderful sautéed with garlic and olive oil.

We loved this onion combination Both colors are spring onions and sweet tasting.

The color inside the red beet is something we have not seen before.  Neither one of us likes beets in any form, except when used in chocolate cake.

Sweet flame peaches were very tasty, they are among the first to ripen.

We loaded up on 3 types of cherries.  The Rainier, Brooks, and the ones pictured above are Black Pearl   Black Pearl is more intense and a touch meatier.  We would definitely recommend trying this variety1

Wishing you all an abundance of Saturday Smiles and a great Sunday!

CAN YOU STATE HOW YOU ARE DIFFERENT AND BETTER THAN YOUR COMPETITION IN UNDER 30 SECONDS?

ABOUT:  Luxury Real Estate is a high stakes game. Commissions are substantial! We help luxury real estate professionals get to the listing table more often and win listings more frequently.  If you want to be the market leader, the personal or company brand that your target market thinks of first and refers most often, you need an Elevator Statement to accelerate the process.  We can get you there!

Your Elevator Statement is a succinct and persuasive summary of your extraordinary promise of value, your unique selling proposition.  In a time-starved world the attention span of your target market is shrinking.  To instantly convey what sets you apart from the crowd you need to be able to answer EACH ONE of these 3 questions in less than 30 seconds.: 1) What Do You Do?; 2)  How Do You Do It?, and;  3) How Are You Different?.  Can you state how you are different and better than your competition in under 30 seconds?

Watch the video above to see and hear how we do it.

As always, Alexanda... lovely photos and I could do me with some of those luscious looking cherries. Meantime, I understand you and Ron are celebrating a wedding anniversary. Wishing you a lovely and happy day. (I was supposed to be a May bride, but when my younger step-daughter cancelled her February wedding the same year and moved it to May, I knew I couldn't interfere with her big princess moment. So my wedding was moved to June/July... having been married in Paris, I had to have a civil wedding before I could have a church wedding... so to this day I'm never sure whether June 28th or July 1st is my true anniversary. But as I never wanted to be anything as prosaic as a June bride, I've tended to recognize it on July 1st.)

Nina Hollander  Thank you for you wishes.  The Champagne is continuing to flow around here.  Heading out later for lunch to try a new restaurant in the wine country whose owners worked for Per Se in NY.  Like you we chose May, instead of June, as several of Ron's cousins were getting married in June.

Our cousin's daughter fell in love with a Frenchman, while studying in France.  We flew to Nice for the 3 day wedding festivities.  The wedding was held at the Mairie in Nice, then we had another ceremony by the pool at her step father-in-law's  home, in the Nice hills.  Ron and I were seated at a table with a Russian couple friend of theirs, a French couple, and a American couple.  I ended up being the translator for the whole table.  By the end of the evening, I had mush for brains.  By the time we returned to Paris, I refused to speak anything but English, so my mother translated for Ron...
