Ballantyne Breakfast Club: How 2019 Property Revaluation Impacts You

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Executive | Charlotte, NC

2019 Mecklenburg County Property Tax Revaluation Info Session Sponsored By The Ballantyne Breakfast Club

It might not be quite breakfast at next Thursday's Ballantyne Breakfast Club meeting from 6:00-7:30 pm, but you may still want to attend the Ballantyne Breakfast Club 2019 Property Tax Revaluation Information Session on May 24th. This will be a great way to find out about how your neighborhood and home will be impacted by the newly assessed residential and commercial property values in Charlotte/Mecklenburg, as well as to learn more about the County's reassessment process.

Mecklenburg County Tax Assessor, Ken Joyner will be the featured speaker. In his role as Mecklenburg County Tax Assessor, Ken Joyner is responsible for managing the reappraisal of more than 360,000 tax parcels in Mecklenburg County, as well as for hiring employees to carry out the discovery, listing, and valuation functions required by North Carolina General Statutes.

Ballantyne Breakfast Club

All Ballantyne Breakfast Club meetings are open to the public at no cost. Founded in 2001 as a communication form, The Ballantyne Breakfast Club is now in it's 17th successful year of providing opportunities for Ballantyne and South Charlotte residents to meet and to learn about community events and priorities relating to local development, rezoning, education, transportation, safety and city/county government. Ballantyne Breakfast Club's slogan that "an informed community is a better community," is spot on.

Whether you've lived in Ballantyne/South Charlotte for many years or are a newcomer, the Ballantyne Breakfast Club meetings are a "must go" to stay on top of neighborhood developments. But keep in mind, you don't need to live in Ballantyne to be welcomed to Ballantyne Breakfast Club meetings.

Anita Clark ~ good morning, Anita... no doubt any homeowner can go on-line to find out what's happening with revaluation and taxes, but as far as I know, the Ballantyne Breakfast Club is the only group locally that has organized an information session like this one with the top county assessor.

Ha! My husband forgot to pay our property taxes this year. Could not believe it. But they were due April 10th, just before tax deadlines, and he was exhausted from that process. Still, no excuse. He had to pay a penalty. If he had to go to a breakfast meeting to talk about property taxes, he probably would not have spaced it out.

I found out because our lender sent a notice that they were overdue.

Elizabeth Weintraub Sacramento Real Estate Agent, Top 1% of Lyon Agents  hi Elizabeth... a fine is easy... here in Mecklenburg County if you don't pay by January 10th they publish your name in the paper! I could do without that kind of publicity!
