Where Do You Usually Find Your Head? Dangerous Question To Ask HERE!!

Managing Real Estate Broker with RE/MAX Executive Realty 104763

Do we ever forget about what we do for a living?  We all need time away from what we do 24/7, but that could also equate to missing new opportunities. I detest missing an opportunity. Is your head always in the business?

We may be on vacation or at family gatherings and want to be free of anything relating to real estate. Are we ever free of it?  Do we have that liberty of being free of thinking about where the next deal will come from?

No one has a gun to anyone’s head, and we’re all functioning independently, with no demands on us.  I think the more years in the business, the more we realize that if we are not thinking about future potential business someone else will be.

When you are out of the traditional real estate environment, where is your head? For many it’s where you may never want it! This is what separates the truly successful real estate agents from the rest of the pack.

Can you honestly say your head is always in the business?  Do you always WANT your head in the game?

I do….and always have…. And I can easily distinguish one agent from the other.

Good afternoon Barbara - this food for thought.  Can you ever really turn it off?  I don’t think I can stop thinking about it.

Yes, absolutely, my head is always in the game. I don't turn it off nor would I want to. That's one of the things that makes it hard to envision retirement. When you love what you do, it's hard to do something else.

BarbaraT- I can remember when I used to staff offices in Houston. I always thought about who might be looking for a job or who might be hiring, didn't matter where I was.

LOL Kat Palmiotti - I took a double-take on that one too!!

Barbara, I don't even know HOW to get my head out of the game...nor would I want to!

I love what I do and I love that most people I'm around, even for non-real estate events, also love talking real estate. Thankfully, real estate is always a 'hot' topic and you bet, my head is always in the game!

Happy Monday!

I dont think i can ever be completely away or to keep my head completely out of the business. A couple of days away is great to clear the head, but taking a couple of minutes to answer an email can head off issues when coming back or set up next weeks new client Barbara Todaro

Good evening Barbara Todaro,

My head is always in Real estate. I love what I do and everyone is always asking me questions..it's always a hot topic, especially in our market. With my son owning a very successful real estate firm, my daughter working in my office and her husband a loan officer its hard not to talk real estate even at family gatherings! Thank goodness for precious grandchildren that divert our attention!
