Let The Games Begin ~ Neighborhood Posts

Real Estate Agent with Front Gate Real Estate Broker 11085

I'm certain my idea is not original, but experience has proven that neighborhood posts give bloggers a subtantial return on their time and investment... of BLOGGING!City image

Neighborhood posts have what is known as a "long-tail", they are evergreen and show up time and again when anyone is on the Internet looking for homes to purchase, including what schools that children would attend, what shops are nearby, HOA information, etc.

Every time I write a neighborhood post, I ALWAYS get calls. It doesn't get much better than that!

So my challenge is to write Neighborhood Posts. I'd give 750 points per entry, with a limit of 2 per week, or 8 total. Each post should contain a minimum of 200 words and describe the neighborhood amenities, school info, general location, area surroundings, etc. The post must also include at least ONE graphic.

You could also include a link to active sales in the neighborhood that would lead prospects to your website. (Bonus points, anyone?)

There could even be a first, second and third place winner for most creative, most colorful, or most detailed post.

We can all learn from each other and I'm positive this would add a boost to our business.

I am SOOOO glad you commented the way you did Hannah Williams , because I forgot to add the link to Debe's post! I think we are all busy at different times of the year. Neighborhood posts are so important, the sooner the better. I also enjoy reading about everyones' market and seeing the different styles of architecture and features as well as the type of weather.

WOW! I love this one, Pat! We could all use a sprucing up of our neighborhood posts...or better yet, add 8 more for the challenge - I LOVE IT!

And, you're so right, the neighborhood posts really do bring you better SEO and are, indeed, evergreen.

Thank you so much for your entry!

Pat, I have been planning to write neighborhood reports anyway. It would be very interesting to see other other neighborhoods, too. I wasn't thinking eight a month, but who knows it may be doable.

marti garaughty - Thanks for the feature in your group. :)

Debe Maxwell, CRS - Eight posts isn't mandatory, of course, but it's beneficial to us to put the information out there. Thanks for your great comments.

Hi Pat,
People love local and neighborhood posts.  This is a good idea to include as an AR Challenge.  For those of us who love where we live, this should be easy.

Thanks, Carol Williams. I think 8 is an admirable goal and achievable, but not a requirement.
