Last week, we showed you the rough draft without all the final pieces. Unfortunately, our professional photographer is having tech issues and we don’t have the final drone video as of of late today. This week, YouTube Thursdays changes the focus to “How-to Videos.” As with all video marketing, it’s important to first consider your target demographic(s). Is it a topic that matches your niche, and is it something a viewer will find valuable? In other words, worth watching.
According to research, home and gardening topics, beauty tips, and cooking shows are popular search topics. Further, Google searches for how-to videos increase by 70% year over year! Tap into the right topic and you can see how this could be a great ROI for your business.

This is a video on how to keep birds from nesting in your spring wreaths and hanging plants. We think Debbie Reynolds does a great job.
Cooking videos are always big, we really like this idea from Jeff Dowler, CRS . We would love to see him throwing that dough around though - maybe next time Jeff.

While real estate how-to videos are a good idea, we suggest sharing some how-to videos showcasing your natural strengths or know-how. Not only will it expand your viewership, it will help your viewers learn more about you - not just the real estate you.
Many of the clients in our niche(s), view homes and multi-generational estates on acreage, value organic eating and plant vegetable gardens. Therefore, we’re going to shoot a how-to video called, “ How to Build a Tomato Machine - More Tomatoes, Earlier.” We’ll share the process with you next week.
