Serving up Fresh Greens at our Rural Camas, Washington Home

Real Estate Broker/Owner with ViewHomes of Clark County - Nature As Neighbors

We can't get enough of the fresh colors of the greens popping up in our yard in Camas, Washington.

Spring air smells fresh and clean, and the lush greenery at our rural home in Camas matches the sensory expectations.  It's such a delight to see the new growth and tender leaves on a variety of our shrubs and trees. The verdant landscape is short-lived, in a few months, drier weather will have tempered the cool greens.

Spring's Promises

Yesterday, in between the rain showers, we spent a few hours pulling weeds and pruning. While we're still a few months away from our vegetable bounty, it won't be long now.  We think it's important to savor the moments and be mindful of the fleeting beauty in every single day.

ViewHomes™ grew out of our passion for nature, beautiful surroundings, and peaceful environments. Starting together in an urban environment, over the years we've gravitated towards areas with smaller populations and less density. We now enjoy our lifestyle in a rural environment, but with close proximity to metropolitan areas where we appreciate all the amenities of fine restaurants, shopping, and an easy drive to an international airport.
Living in ViewHomes™ is like having “elbowroom for the soul”.

Good morning, Debb... as you know, I'm a girl raised in the concrete jungle of NYC and have been known to say that the best grass is green cement. But these early spring green colors are beautiful and my favorite shade of green.

We certainly don't get enough rain for that much green here, but I absolutely love how vibrant your greens are there!

Hello Debb and Bernie -- there are so many reasons to enjoy "green" --- the fresh aroma associated with it, is just one.  Celebrate it.

Great pics Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD - I cannot believe how the color and greenery is back.  We got a few sprinkles yesterday and all the fresh smells of spring greenery were very strong...especially the pine scent.  Your post reminded me of that!

When I saw your title, I expected turnip or mustard greens, but knew the season was off. But enjoy the rich greenery that surrounds you while Spring is fresh!

Our spring was delayed by several bouts of cold weather. Finally it arrived with temps in the 70-80's this week. I have pulled weeds, spread mulch, transplanted some plants that had gotten too big for their spot. I know what you mean about those spring smells. They are smells of promise.
