PARKS & RECREATION BOARD
Purpose
To recommend to City Council the purchase of properties for trails, open space, parks, recreation centers and programs. Advise City Council on park development and use regulations for parks, recreation areas, facilities and programs. Approve neighborhood park master plans at public hearings.
Qualifications
Must be an Aurora resident, registered voter, holding no paid, elected, or appointed position with the city or any boards of education.

HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION
Purpose
To promote a mutual understanding and respect among all people. Disseminate information and educational materials to eliminate prejudice, promote human relations and investigate complaints of this nature.
Qualifications
Must be an Aurora resident and registered voter. Membership consists of 12 voting members, including one youth member. The three non-voting members are a City Manager designee, adult alternate and youth alternate. The Commission should be representative of the city wards and be of racial, ethnic and social economic classes of the community.
