A Quick UpDate on My IDX Change of Providers.

Managing Real Estate Broker with Barrington Realty Company License: 471.000044

This is meant to be a short post, and it's just a quick update on my switch out of one IDX to another.

To say I am ecstatic is the understatment. Change after 10 years was a risk but I was willing to take it.  I am here to report  MY facts.

It's always important to note I never advocate you do what I do, or even do what I say. I am simply reporting my situation and results. What I believe is important is that we all review our systems periodically. If something is not working it may be time for a change but it may not. You must KNOW how your systems work, measure their success and failure before changing anything.

Original post in case you did not read it:

Traffic Results are on the rise:

All IDX pages were moved over to my domain, the subdomain was killed.

Even though we are not quite 30 days from the start of the switch my traffic has increased by alot.

My IDX sitemap was crawled to amost 95% of the pages submitted within 48 hours of submitting it. The phone has started to ring and I am now fine tuning the coverage area as I had to refer 2 buyers on as they were just a little too far out for my preference.

I am loving the support I get from Showcase IDX. Support tickets rarely go more than an hour before being answered, the Facebook group is active and willing to share and once a week the CEO goes live on FB for an update session and Q and A session.

I am more than happy I made the switch.

It came to mind something I needed to clarify here. This would be for the more technical folks.

The old IDX sub domain pages that were not being indexed have all been forwarded to a specific new search page, they were not re-directed to the newly written pages. That search page is not being hit on very much at all.

What I am getting is new traffic to the new pages. They are newly written, formatted and submitted pages in the site index that have already started to draw traffic with their long tailed keyphrases.

So I changed my IDX Broker url  to sample of one of my pages to https://mauirealestate.nickensmaui.com/i/makena-beachfront-homes.  I index well with Bing, but not that great with Google. So I just put the IDX subdomain site map on my homepage hoping it improves.
