Bettina Sastoque : Tools to Grow Your Business

Real Estate Agent with Pat Hiban Interviews Real Estate Rockstars and Founder of Rebus University

“People will do what’s best for them if they just have the information.” These are the words of someone who joined the Real Estate Industry when the Market itself crashed. Instead of seeing this event as an obstacle to be feared, this person saw this as an opportunity – an opportunity to create habits that now allowed her to better serve her clients. Now, she is in a point in her career where she wants to be able to help other agents reach their goals? Sound familiar? It should, because that has always been my goal ever since.

Bettina Sastoque finds joy in identifying the needs of her clients. Once she has done that, she then creates a road map for them to reach their goals and address those needs. Bettina acknowledges the difficulties and the obstacles that people face on their way to success. The climb alone may already seem too challenging. However, she believes that in order for a person to get to his or her goal sooner, tools are necessary. Coming from the Promotional Marketing Industry, both Bettina and her husband Juan, work together to come up with business strategies to make the journey a bit easier. The first tool they use? Facebook. Facebook has millions and millions of subscriber and hundreds of thousands of groups. Imagine being able to tap into this kind of lead source. Friends of friends can become clients. Strangers can become customers and even the most unlikely of people can be tapped and become agents. The secret? Know your target market and know how to word your ads properly. Posted pictures do not become ads once they go out there. You have to use words that will entice people and pique their interest. For example, posting something like “$5,000,000 house on sale in Los Angeles, California” can definitely be made better if you put a little more description about the property. Be creative.

Next tool you can use, which has become very helpful in organizing my day, is Trello. You can sign up by going to www.trello.com and prepare to be amazed. With Trello, you can be as organized with your day as you want. It serves as a checklist. Once you have identified the things that you need to do for the day, just create a checklist and tick the box once you have completed a task. It will show you the percentage of the task you have completed and it will even allow you to share your “board” with other people. This may be basic but a lot of people can always do without the clutter of post its and notes that they tend to misplace. This way, appointments, seminars, open houses and other activities are not forgotten. It will also give you a feeling of satisfaction after seeing that you have already finished all your tasks for the day. The moment you start organizing your day is the moment that you start organizing your life.

The third tool will definitely amaze you – the internet. Yes. The internet. You have the power of virtually unlimited information at your fingertips. The only thing you need to do is, well, use your fingers. Type in the things you need to be updated on. Always be updated about listings and about the market or the industry itself. If you need to email people to get updates, do so. If you need to upload photos to entice customers, make it happen. The idea is, the internet is a very powerful tool. It will allow you to reach out to thousands, if not, millions of people with just a few keystrokes. Agents who put up vacation houses for leasing can reach out to thousands of people halfway around the world. Explore the possibilities.

Bettina was able to grow her business with the help of these tools and with Teamwork. She has always believed that “Together, Everyone Achieves More.” Together with her team, she promotes integrity and a promise of always doing her best to find a win-win solution. She wants to always be able to gain her customers trust and she believes that in order to achieve this, she has to start with being honest. Her customers come first. Their needs are what drive her to perform better than expected because for her, helping her customers achieve their Real Estate Dreams is Success.

Profit has always been the main goal of any business. However, Bettina has something more in mind. While profit drives business, what she considers as her ROI (Return Of Investment) is the fact that her sphere of influence increases with each accomplishment, with each satisfied customer. Her goal to always try and understand the needs of her clients first has given her and her business an edge because now, when desirable results are needed for a project with overwhelming odds, Bettina and her team bravely step forward to come up with creative solutions to address the need.

A wife, a mother of 3 wonderful children and a mentor to many, that is who Bettina Sastoque is. If you want to grow your listing, if you want to grow your career or if you just want to grow as a person, she is one of the best people to talk with. She will truly enjoy identifying your needs and mapping out a way to get you to your goal with the least amount of stress along the way.
