Bring your own notes: Do your homework before you go. When you get an opportunity to ask your question or make your suggestion, you’ll want to have your facts and references in front of you.
Bring something to write with: You don't want to get home later and end up trying but unable to recall an item of discussion. Make notes, and hold your officials and civil servants accountable to do what they say.
Dress comfortably: You don’t have to dress up, just show up, and maybe even contribute to the discussion.
