Boo at the Zoo returns to Atlanta's Grant Park.

For the next two weekends, one of Atlanta’s favorite fun family Halloween festival returns! Boo at the Zoo is back, y’all, so gather up the kiddies old and young, pick a day -- Saturday or Sunday, October 18, 19, 25 or 26 -- get your costumes on and head for Grant Park to sample the treats, sights, characters and adventures of the whimsical Zoo Boo Town with more than 1,500 animals from around the world.

Of course, Zoo Atlanta is a favorite venue for locals and visitors alike, any time of year, but especially in October when masquerade-lovers can visits the exhibits and be part of the seasonal exhibit, too. halloween panda by Best Atlanta Short sales

As part of the festivities you can enter the costume contests which start at 11 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., get crafty with special Halloween games and crafts, or get your picture taken with characters such as Lily Mouse, Splat the Cat, Stellaluna, Zhu Zhu and America's only twin pandas Mei Lun and Mei Huan, and more!

Boo-gy down to the lively sounds!

Get your whole body into the fun, as you move to the grooves of Little Beat, a live party DJ who’ll help you get your BOO-gy on!

Boo at the Zoo is FREE for Zoo Members and children under 3, but even if your are not a member, the Halloween fun is FREE with general admission. Everybody gets to play at Zoo Atlanta in October.

Zoo Hours

March 15, 2014 – Nov 7, 2014

Monday - Friday

9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. | last admission at 4:30 p.m.

We begin to bring our animals in for the day at 4:30 p.m. Food stands close an hour prior to the grounds closing; rides close a half hour prior.

Saturday and Sunday and Holidays (July 4, 2014)

9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. | last admission at 5:30 p.m.

We begin to bring our animals in for the day at 5:30 p.m. Food stands close an hour prior to the grounds closing; rides close a half hour prior.

Nov 8, 2014 – March 13, 2015

Getting to the Zoo

Zoo Atlanta is located in historic Grant Park, minutes from downtown Atlanta and less than a mile from Turner Field - home of the Atlanta Braves.

Driving:

Off of Interstate 20, Take Exit 59A (Boulevard) and proceed south 0.5 mile. Park in the lots on Boulevard.

Off Interstate 75/85, take Exit 246 (Fulton Street) and drive east on Fulton Street. Turn right at Capitol Avenue. Follow Capitol to first light, turn left on Georgia Avenue. Georgia Avenue ends at the Cherokee Avenue lot.

Parking is FREE.

Public Transit:

Bus service is available from Five Points MARTA station via Route #32.

This looks like a lot of Halloween fun, and your at the zoo too! At first when I saw the title I thought you were talking about our all animal shelter on Maui called the Boo Boo Zoo, Any who enjoy the season.
