Have You Swyped Today?
For those of you with newer ‘Droid’ phones, were you aware of Swype’. It’s a new form of text input. Instead of hitting each letter individually, you just drag your finger along the keyboard of your phone with quick pauses at the letters you want to input.
The software uses unique algorithms, a word-matching search engine and database to detect words in your finger's path.
It also seems to learn as you continue to use it. For example if I swype nsty, the text will show nasty. It's called predictive texting. Swype also works on tablets and PCs. With my fat fingers, I’ve never been able to keep up with the younger generation in texting, but with Swype, I’m getting much quicker.
If you have a compatible Android phone, try it out. It takes a little while to get in the groove, but well worth the effort.
