What is up with your blog lately Todd? Well, let me explain what I’m up to

Real Estate Broker/Owner with Respect Realty LLC 200311024

As many of my subscribers know, there has been a change in the style to my blog over the past couple months and that has a lot to do with my new market niche and me trying to get that new cliental to find me. But, there really is more to it than that, I’m actually farming in a whole new way.

You see, many people questioned me why I was going to so many parks. Well, I wanted to be known as the neighborhood expert and so I visited each of the parks in the neighborhood, and then posted about the neighborhood, the schools, the parks, and the crime stats. I wanted to be the go-to guy for the neighborhoods that I was farming.

Here are some of those posts about the local parks of Beaverton andTigard:

Beaverton Oregon Parks: Wildhorse Park in the Greenway Neighborhood

Beaverton Oregon Parks: Summercrest East Park (In the Hart neighborhood of Beaverton Oregon)

85% of people start their search online. I wanted people to look at my news letter, know that I was the neighborhood expert, and if they search the internet for a neighborhood they would find me everywhere and in every category, I wanted to dominate my farm areas and farm in a whole new way.

So, please enjoy my neighborhood posts, as I promise you will be seeing a lot more of them. Hopefully,in the near future, you will be seeing me post how you can dominate your farm in person and online!

Here are the first few that I did:

The Aloha Neighborhood of Beaverton Oregon (Finding a neighborhood to call home)

The Hart Neighborhood of Beaverton, Oregon (Finding a neighborhood to call home)

Why relocating to the Greenway neighborhood of Beaverton Oregon is such a great move

Great idea; it makes sense that consumers are getting more compartmentalized.

Spectacular idea Todd.  I love it!

I don't understand the crime stats either.

Shane - If anything you should be worried more about giving the information rather than directing them where to find it. If you direct them where to find the information, they are making the decision to how good an area is or isn't. If you tell them and they find out it is worse or a higher crime area than you said, then you can say good bye to your license.

Thank you everyone, promise more to come and laugh it up Mark, at least I leave the office unlike you... (ROFL)

This is brilliant. Now I have an excuse to use the swings and seesaw but claim I'm working. Bravo!

Todd, you are doing what us agents did 20 years ago but via the net, very smart! You are showing you are the only choice!

Todd, I've been trying to get much more local myself (that was the advice here on AR) and so I have visited parks, rec centers, schools, and local businesses, taken lots of pictures and met and interviewed several business owners. I feel I'm on the right path and sounds like you are too!

Is there any question as to whether or not you are the local expert? Excellent idea and what a great resource for the community.

Excellent! I am so with you. I started a community blog a year ago and it gets great response. I have tested the posts to see where they are most effective. Honestly wordpress ranks higher than AR or localism.

Great.  I have been doing the same thing.  Now I have to get the guts to introduce my self to the owners, and start building relationships.   Tere

Hey Todd,

What an interesting idea!  It's certainly a niche market.  I'm looking forward to reading your reports on how effective it is.

It is good you get out, walk the walk and then do the talking on the blog.  I like seeing that kind of change up.  Much success to you.
