by Patricia Feager, 6/21/2017
Bakers Branch Estates
Flower Mound, TX
There's a spicy type of neighborhood in the Bakers Branch Estates of Flower Mound, TX. All the best ingredients to make a neighborhood fun to live in have street names like Cinnamon, Clove, Cilantro, Ginger, Basil, etc.
To make a neighborhood a happy one you need a lot of sugar and spice and everything nice, a lot of love, and added to it thoughtfulness and things you're dreaming of. If you blend these all together, you will find a neighborhood with neighbors who treat you with kindness and make you full of the good things … (11 comments)

flower mound: Bridlewood in Flower Mound Is Everything You Dreamed - 06/19/17 09:01 PM
by Patricia Feager, 6/19/2017
Bridlewood in Flower Mound is an Equestrian Community that continues to grow and to mature in many new facets of natural artscape and enjoyment. The quality of life and diversity co-exists with nature. The mature trees are simply remarkable because they have been maintained since the community began. Here residents can enjoy the beautiful golf course community, horses, wide open spaces, swimming, parks, and recreation.
Something I'm proud to see when I visit Bridlewood are the number of homes that continuously display the American Flag. The golf course and homes are meticulously maintained. … (20 comments)

flower mound: April Showers Brought May Flowers - 05/20/17 06:53 AM
Musings by Patricia Feager
After a wet and windy spring, this is the result of my annual manual labor in my Flower Mound garden. I enjoy planting and adding something new every year. The flowers in the top left was a complete surprise! When I planted it into the earth, there were no buds or flowers! To me, it looks uniquely exotic and I am proud of how it turned out! The photo on the top right was taken a few days ago when the winds were blowing fast. I felt as if the petals waved back at me, letting me know … (53 comments)

flower mound: Springtime is the Season for Mexican Hat - 05/04/17 04:16 PM
by ©Patricia Feager, 5/4/2017
Spring brings forth an abundance of Texas Wildflowers. Today I came upon the Mexican Hat in Highland Village near Flower Mound, TX and its petals were waving in the wind. It's such a cheery flower. They come in bright yellow or burnt orange. The first shot is the shot I got this morning about 11:00 a.m. It's in its pure and natural color - no editing at all.
Below is the same photo using the software Ribbet. In just a subtle change, I got a different result. All I did was give it a Mirrored Frame in the shade of blue … (14 comments)

flower mound: 1713 Meyerwood LN S - Flower Mound, TX - 04/19/17 06:27 PM
The countdown to closing begins effective 4/19/2017. An offer brings joy to sellers. Acceptance is even better. There are many parts of a home sale and everyone has to cooperate to make things work. It's a team effort, no matter how you look at it. Putting a home on the market really gets owners outside of their comfort zone. The search for the perfect house takes a lot of effort. Marketing, open houses, advertising, rearranging schedules, keeping a house clean and organized, making sure every detail is taken care of requires a lot of … (12 comments)

flower mound: March Planting in Flower Mound & North Texas - 03/14/17 12:08 PM

Though there may be blizzard-like conditions in the North East, the sun shines in Flower Mound, TX. Light frost was predicted yesterday but when I woke up around 4 a.m. there wasn't a trace of frost. The sun is up and bright. My flowers are doing great. Tulips and Hyacinths have come and gone. Iris' are about 12 - 14 inches tall. Carnations are blooming. Last year begonias and mums are poking through the soil. Planting new flowers began a week ago and I'll continue to add and replace as time goes on. I slapped my first mosquito on … (19 comments)

Unusual Sky Over Flower Mound, TX
6:20 PM, 2/26/17
The sky appeared to be inspiring, ominous, and beautiful over Flower Mound, Texas this evening. It was the lovely artistic strokes in the sky that caught my attention while driving home this evening. I just had to pull over near the school playground to snap this photograph. Later this evening, just before the Oscars ended, closer to 11:00 p.m., Central Standard Time, a loud thunderous sky and flashes of lightning shot through my windows while raindrops pounded on top my roof and echoed inside the fireplace; then ended rather abruptly.
Before the rain, this celestial … (18 comments)

by ©Patricia Feager, 2/19/2017
Families moving to North Texas may be interested in knowing what is available for Teenagers in Lewisville. If you're thinking about the City of Lewisville, here is what I recommend for best resources:
Public Library LISD (Lewisville Independent Schools) Local Churches
Some of the most popular programs at the library for teens include the following:
TAG (Teen Advisory Group) - This group encourages opportunities to develop leadership skills, to work as a team and earn community service hours. If college bound, this training will be instrumental in developing skills in a social environment that will benefit teens and … (8 comments)

flower mound: What Can Flower Mound, TX Offer Teenagers? - 02/17/17 08:44 PM

Teens deserve a healthy lifestyle and Flower Mound provides many opportunities for students who are college bound or interested in volunteering: http://www.flower-mound.com/1261/Teens to become leaders. Individuals can find a lot of information in the section called "Flower Mound NextGen."
Becoming 16 years old is exciting and can be stressful if a teen has to find work. There are many exciting opportunities for teens within the Town, e.g., lifeguard, water safety instructor, librarian assistance shelving books, volunteering at hospitals, senior centers, or the Community Activity Center. Keeping teens in the community, a place where they are familiar has positive results … (15 comments)

Sunset in Flower Mound, Texas on Wednesday, 1/25/2017
by ©Patricia Feager,, 1/25/2017
I believe the sun is the crowned jewel in the universe and the sky is the limits! The sun closes the day for us and what follows next are the night eyes sparkling down like diamonds on earth. Darkness is only temporary. It gives our eyes and our body a rest. Tomorrow is a new dawn; another day.
The setting sun is a fireball of energy that blasts the sky open with splashes of vibrant colors so strong it pushes the clouds away! There's a soulfulness about it that I can't explain. Isn't it … (10 comments)

Official 2017 Blog JUMPSTART Challenge - Enhance YOUR Personal Best
In support of my community, I'd like to introduce it's newest permanent attraction - Moviehouse Eatery Lakeside. With a relatively small population of about 66,000, it's easy to jump off the main drag, Long Prairie Road onto 121, 35E or 35W, 635, or 114 to hit the big cities of Dallas or Fort Worth. There, you'll find many large major attractions. In a hometown family community, such as Flower Mound, about a year ago we got our very first Moviehouse Eatery Lakeside. It is located between Long Prairie Road and Lake … (14 comments)

flower mound: Romancing Your Marketplace With A KISS in Flower Mound - 09/22/16 12:43 AM
When AR members Alexandra & Ron Seigle challenged members to a Romanticize Your Marketplace: September Active Rain Contest! I began to think about the laws of attraction and how it relates to my marketplace. They say, "Most people buy homes based on their emotions and then justify their choices with logic." I began to give this serious thought.

People come in all different sizes, shapes, and personality traits. Unless you're a licensed Psychologists it may be difficult to pinpoint CORE mapping. Even though I have a Bachelor's degree in Applied Behaviorial Science, and in my former career, I was a Recruiter in … (8 comments)

What's great about Flower Mound is the mutual feeling about patriotism. It's not unusual to see both the American Flag and the Texas Flag posted within just about every mile. Also, whenever there are school functions, City Council, Civic Groups, Chamber Meetings, Sporting Events, Meetings for groups, such as members belonging to the Greater Lewisville Association of REALTORS® everyone Pledges Allegiance to the Flag and to the State of Texas.
Honor the Texas Flag; I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas,
